06/11/09		Systems and Services Certification		SGS Thailand and Thai Food Processors’ Association Organize Training on Food Safety Standards The Systems and Services Certification division of SGS Thailand, together with the Thai Food Processors’ Association, organized a training program for the food manufacturing industry, aimed at helping major retailers who supply to Europe and North America and require their suppliers to be certified under the standards recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
29/10/09		Systems and Services Certification		SGS Provides Free Training on Global Standard for Storage and Distribution, ISO 28000 and ISO 9001 SGS’ Systems and Services Certification division recently organized a training program for companies in the food and non-food industries. Held on October 29, 2009 in Chiang Mai Province, near the North Zone area, the training discussed the British Retail Consortium’s (BRC) Global Standard for Storage and Distribution, as well as ISO 28000 Series on Supply Chain Security Management Systems and ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems. The speaker for the training was Teeranat Limpichotikul, Food Segment Manager of SGS Systems and Services Certification in Thailand. Nearly 50 companies participated in the event.
29/10/09		Systems and Services Certification		SGS Awards Pathum Thani Brewery Co., Ltd. with ISO 9001:2008, ISO 22000:2005, GMP and HACCP  Certifications Pathum Thani Brewery Co., Ltd. recently achieved certifications under international standards ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems and ISO 22000:2005 Food Safety Management Systems, as well as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP). Boonchawee Chuasiriwat, Operations Manager of SGS (Thailand) Ltd., presented the certifications to Pongthep Akarapongpisakdi, Managing Director of the Brewery.

Conducted in Nonthaburi Province, the training discussed new food standards FSSC 22000, PAS 220 and BRC Global Standard for Food Safety Issue 5.

Ltd. with ISO 9001:2008 Certification SGS Thailand recently awarded Jan Nine Management Co. Ltd. and Star Truck and Bus Co. Ltd. with ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems Certification. Jan Nine is a manufacturer and distributor of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck (Thailand) Co., Ltd., selling to government offices and state enterprises. Star Truck, on the other hand, manufactures and distributes to individuals and private companies.

The company serves equipment manufacturers and local companies in the automotive, computer, business equipment, telecommunications and consumer industries.

SGS Thailand recently awarded SCT Co., Ltd with ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems Certification, ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management Systems Certification and OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Certification.

The training discussed ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001, and was conducted in Ayutthaya Province.
